Pool Heating

The pool is heated with an environmentally friendly heat pump. A minimum of 1 week’s notice is required for pool heating. The heater needs to be switched on for two days before the water will be sufficiently heated. Pool heating can be arranged for a supplement cost of Euros 20 per day with a minimum charge of Euros 100 for rentals shorter  than seven days. Please note the pool heating is not intended to produce bath temperature water. The heater will increase winter water temperatures from around 16 degrees C to about 28 degrees C, so that the water is reasonably comfortable for swimming.

Pool Cover

The pool will not heat or retain the temperature when the heater has been switched on unless the pool is covered when not in use. The pool cover is on a convenient roller for rolling on and off the pool. It is therefore imperative that the pool cover is replaced whenever the pool is not in use when pool is being heated.

Poolside Eating and Drinking

Glass utensils and crockery are strictly prohibited poolside for health and safety reasons as per the terms and conditions of rental. The named Lead Renter will bear responsibility for this requirement. It is also highly advisable not to use the swimming pool while under the influence of alcohol.

The Heated Pool

The Pool is family sized and L-shaped. It is on the south facing terrace just off the covered patio. There are a number of doors which open to the pool terrace for spectacular views and sun loungers. The pool measures length 7m, narrowest width 4m, widest width 5m. There are steps with a hand rail in one corner for safe entry into the pool. Children must be always supervised by adults when in or near the swimming pool.

Pool Enclosure

The swimming pool is enclosed for the safety of children. The pool enclosure is 1.1metres high and is operated by soft self closing gates operated by Magna Latches. All the terrace walls have also been raised to a minimum of 1.1 metres to safeguard children. The pool enclosure meets stringent French safety standards because as yet Spain has not legislated for pool safely. There is also a fully enclosed safe lawned play area for children adjacent the pool.

Poolside shower

A solar heated shower and lawned area is provided for showering before and after a swim.

Pool Maintenance

The pool is maintained and cleaned by a professional pool management company twice weekly in summer and once weekly in winter. The pool pH is also adjusted meticulously and accurately for the number of guests using the pool during your stay. However, please note renters need to do some daily cleaning, mainly removal of any leaf and wind borne debris for which the necessary long handed nets are provided.
